We approached Midland Builders early in 2017 after a recommendation from friend whose family members had used Midland previously.
From the first meeting with Mark and his lads, it was clear we had found the right build team for our building work, in short, a complete ground floor renovation and layout change. We had drawings already, however, with the help of Mark and his team, we soon made a number of significant layout improvements and substantial cost saving, these discussions confirmed we'd made the right choice in Midland.
Once the final layout was agreed, Midland set a date and the work commenced, with the team arriving on time each and every day for the entire duration of the build. As customers do, we changed our mind a few times, the build team were excellent when we did this, delivering everything we asked for, on time and to budget.
The term "going the extra mile" is often over used, however, I can honestly say this is exactly what each and everyone one of the Midland Builders team do, Day in, day out. I really cannot express how efficient, polite, considerate the team at midland are, the site was cleaned down at the end of every shift, making way for a quick start each and every morning.
Mark and the team went to so much trouble to support us with each step of the project, this shows in the end result, the standard of work is truly outstanding, we receive compliments from everyone who visits us. Attention to detail is at the forefront of everything the Midland team do, picking the smallest of errors to ensure the finishing is 100%. When we did have a small concern (there was only 1) the team responded quickly and once again went the extra mile to ensure we were completely satisfied.
I cannot recommend Midland Builders highly enough, first class team of tradesmen who genuinely love what they do, the pride they take in their work really does show in the end result.
The works were for a single storey rear house extension and some landscaping at the rear garden. It also involved knocking down some walls to allow for the new extension to take place. I was generally very pleased with the workmanship and quality of the work that took place throughout the whole project.
The workers were very professional in their conduct and generally very clean in keeping the site tidy and free of hazards where possible. The job was finished behind schedule, but it was mainly due to issues beyond their control; but many attempts were made to keep it on schedule as much as possible with workers sometimes working longer, or at a weekend (with consent). On speaking to many of them, they were very approachable and friendly, and often gave clear information as to what was happening, and what would be happening next.
Again, overall, the work done on my property was done at a very high standard, so I would definitely recommend them for works of this kind. Good job!
In 2014 we decided to have our kitchen updated into a larger open-plan style, and to do this we needed to increase the size of the kitchen by extending into the garage (attached to the side of the house) and converting the existing conservatory into a solid extension.
We made contact with Midland Builders following a recommendation by a friend in July 2014 and they promptly supplied a detailed quote for the work; they also advised that they would not be able to start the work for us until January/February 2015 because of their other commitments. We appreciated that they were honest about the delay in starting the work and true to their word, the work commenced in February 2015 and was completed by the beginning of April 2015.
Throughout the build, we had regular contact with Jo (admin assistant) or Mark Fletcher providing progress reports. Mark Fletcher was often on-site to ensure the work was to the quality expected. The workmen arrived promptly every working day and were very professional.
